Curtis &
Utley, Inc. started the Real Estate Company in the Spring
of 1914. The owners were Frank Curtis and Harry Utley. Frank
Curtis was Harry Utley's father-in-law.
In
the Fall of 1916 Howard Nolte purchased Frank Curtis'
interest. The name was changed to Nolte-Utley Realty
Company.
In
the Fall of 1918, Gene Favell purchased the interest of
Howard Nolte. On January 1, 1919 Favell-Utley Realty
Company became the 2nd registered Corporation under the
Oregon Real Estate Commission.
In
the early 1920's Favell-Utley Realty Company had offices
in Lakeview; Klamath Falls, Oregon; and Alturas,
California. They developed the following:
Hunter's Lodge and
Goldmohr Terrace in Lakeview.
Altamont District in
Klamath Falls, Oregon.
The Town and Town Site
of Sprague River, Oregon.
Alturas Heights and
the Broodmoor Park subdivision in Alturas,
California.
The
Oregon Real Estate Commission records for 1919 are not
readily accessible. Determining the one Real Estate
Company registered before Favell-Utley has not been an
easy task and it remains an unknown whether the other
Real Estate Company is still in business.
The Favell-Utley Corporation is currently proud to offer Real Estate and Insurance Services to the Lakeview, Paisley, Adel, and Christmas Valley communities in the Lake County region of Southern Oregon. Whether your need is in the residential, commercial, farm or ranch market, we can assist you. |
